Title: San Diego - April 14, 1994 - Jack Murphy Stadium Cover: There's no artwork, except the spiffy title in purple ball-point pen. Overall Rating: A Tracks: Astronomy Domine, Learning To Fly, What Do You Want From Me, A Great Day For Freedom, Sorrow, Take It Back, On The Turning Away, Keep Talking, One Of These Days, Shine On (1-5), Breathe, Time, Breathe (Reprise), High Hopes, Wish You Were Here, Another Brick In The Wall Part 2, Us And Them, Money, Comfortably Numb, Hey You, Run Like Hell The camera man was located approximately half way between the mirror ball and the stage. That means that there are many incredibly good shots of Dave playing his guitar. Indeed, Dave seemed to be the only interesting thing on stage. We see about half of the backdrop films and only a few seconds of the mirror ball. The lasers and lighting effects are largely ignored, because if they'd been filmed, we'd have lost valuable seconds of footage of Dave playing his guitar. In my humble opinion, there are enough really genuinely good songs without any really spectacular lasers, lights, or films that we could have had a film that was well balanced. In the good news catagory, I am incredibly glad that this film exists. The fellow filming had a much better seat than any of my three, so it was nice to see things from another perspective. When we do see the backdrop films, they are in perfect focus, in incredible color, and well worth playing over and over. I rewound through Shine On about 4 times. In addition, I paid only $20 for the tape. I consider that to be an extremely fair price. The picture quality is excellent, very close to the original. The mystery of the day is: why (oh why) did someone put the words "Pink Floyd" in a very nasty block flashing red letters in the center of the screen during several songs ? Luckily, they don't remain there too long. It's just odd.
