Xref: Earls Court show 1 Oct 94?
Quality:
  • Sup, Soundboard - BTW
Comments: This title came out simultaneously with dozens of other Chartbusters titles for other artists. I bought it because of the $12 price tag, and I think it's worth more than that. The quality is on a par with PULSE (haven't checked to make sure it's a fake yet =) ), soundboard all the way and no tape defects. Great stereo sound, nice mix, and the keyboards (Hammond and E-piano) seem to be a little more out-front (always a joy to keyboard players such as myself!). Several of the songs have been very professionally shortened during solos (example: GGITS, ABITW), probably to save room on the disc. Has a whine/hum during the early part of SOYCD that reminds me of a 4-track recorder, and I think was mentioned as a defect from the PPV broadcast (I've never seen it though.) No problem with compressed sound, though.

NOTE: Purists will definitely be appalled, as this compilation has songs faded into each other with crowd noise between songs. No way to tell which songs came from what show (although they scream "send you back to London in a cardboard box" during RLH), but there are some nice versions of Breathe, WYWH, Us and Them, etc. Recommended - BTW
