Comments: OK, this is from a scratchy vinyl. OK, it's only 12 minutes long. But this is the first time that the complete mini LP recorded by the pre-Floyd Gilmour's band is available! Before, only the 7" single was available on RoIO CDs ("Why Do Fools Fall In Love" / "Don't Ask Me"). I think the "Jokers Wild" mini album was released as a single sided LP, in 1965. This CD was mastered in stereo, but from a mono vinyl source. So, the vinyl scratches are in stereo, but the music is mono (the balance is not perfect, as it seems to be louder on the right channel).

My copy is numbered "Limited edition: 034/100".

This CD-R doesn't play on every CD player (avoid it if your CD player already has trouble with some CD-Rs).

The "family tree" on the back cover's verso is interesting. It seems that there's a Syd Barrett connection! Here's a transcription of the contained info: circa 1962: THE HOLLERIN' BLUES John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Syd Barrett (guitar/vocals) various others unknown circa 1962: THE RAMBLERS John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Richard Baker (bass) Chris Marriott (vocals) Albie Prior (guitar) early 60s: THE NEWCOMERS Dave Gilmour (guitar) Ken Waters (vocals) various others unknown 1962-1963: THE RAMBLERS John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Richard Baker (bass) Chris Marriott (vocals) Dave Gilmour (guitar) 1963-1965: JOKERS WILD John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Dave Gilmour (guitar) David Altham (vocals) Tony Sainty (bass) - MARC-OLIVIER.
